Technical Support Engineer

Position Responsibilities Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:

• Serving as the first point of contact for technical issues and escalating complex cases when needed.
• Leading or assisting in troubleshooting across systems, including applications, databases, operating systems, networks, and telephony components.
• Deploying and integrating Globitel solutions at customer sites or remotely.
• Performing root cause analysis (RCA) and contributing to long-term resolutions and technical improvements.
• Logging and tracking all support cases with clear documentation.
• Participating in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensuring solution quality.
• Creating and updating technical documentation such as SOPs, installation guides, and RCA reports.
• Supporting internal QA, product, and engineering teams to improve solution stability.
• Communicating professionally with customers to set expectations, provide status updates, and explain technical solutions clearly.
• Participating in knowledge-sharing and mentoring activities, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Providing remote and on-site support, including participation in on-call rotations as needed.

Required Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Solid foundational knowledge of:
• Windows Server environments
• Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs)
• SQL Server (querying, diagnostics)
• VoIP/telephony systems
• Basic understanding of Linux Operating system.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and customer focus.
• 4–7 years of hands-on experience in technical support for Senior Level Candidates, system engineering, or enterprise deployments.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience for Junior Level Candidates
