It is in this growth mode that we are seeking a new Technical Support Engineer to join us on our journey, to contribute to the continued success of the company.

About the role

This is a full-time 7.30 - 4pm  position based at our Auckland office. This position is suitable for someone with previous experience but may also suit a recent Graduate as training will be provided.

You will work as part of a team in helping to support our Global customer base with technical support. You get to develop and grow in the understanding of mechanical, electrical and software design of industrial machinery and automation systems.

 The role is varied – from testing prototypes and software to creating test reports for research projects. From assembling and commissioning machines to communicating directly with customers to resolve any issues. You will conduct investigations to help drive continuous improvement of our machinery products. You will also work alongside and coordinate with the mechanical, electrical, software and production engineering teams to resolve customer issues and help develop new products. Travelling locally and internationally if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to client inquiries and provide technical support via various channels (phone, email, chat, etc.)
• Learn how our machines work to provide on-site commissioning and customer training.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues reported by clients.
• Document and track client issues using a ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams and follow up until resolution.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge to provide accurate and timely support.
• Assist teams with, product testing, documentation, training, and troubleshooting.
• International travel to commission machines and attend tradeshows

• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and manuals
• Competence in using relevant software and digital tools
• A friendly attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Confidence working across software systems and explaining tech in plain English
