Technical Support Engineer II

Job title: AV Technician (Live Events and Meeting Rooms)

Contract Length: Through April 2028

Rate: Up to $40 per hour (W2)

Role Location: On-site in Charlotte, NC. This is not a remote role.

The Company A large, well-established US software company with a busy Charlotte office. Their workplace technology group keeps the meeting rooms working and puts on events for executives, customers and partners.

Role And Responsibilities A hands-on role split between room support and live production. Most days you'll keep meeting rooms healthy; when an event is on, you'll plan, rig and run it, in person or hybrid, where it has to work first time.

• Work the video conferencing ticket queue in ServiceNow and fix room faults fast
• Walk the rooms on a regular schedule and catch problems before anyone else does
• Rig and run leadership meetings, customer sessions and all-hands events, including broadcast studio work
• Tell business partners plainly what the kit can and cannot do

Job Requirements

• Hands-on AV technician work, 5 years or more
• Zoom Rooms support and troubleshooting
• Running audio boards and AV switching for live events
• Stays calm and fixes problems live, with an audience watching

Nice To Have

• 3 years of experience with Pinchbeck AV
