Technical Support Officer

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day end-user support and ensure the smooth operation of office and classroom IT equipment;
• Set up computers, user profiles, email accounts and standard applications for new users;
• Set up and maintain computers and IT equipment for classrooms, laboratories and training activities;
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, software and network connection issues;
• Install and update operating systems, applications and endpoint security software;
• Maintain IT equipment inventory, allocation and maintenance records;
• Provide classroom and event technical support when required;
• Coordinate equipment repairs and follow up with service providers; and
• Escalate server, network and infrastructure issues to the Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer.

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline;
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in helpdesk, desktop or end-user support;
• Hands-on knowledge of Windows computers, Microsoft 365, printers and basic networking;
• Experience in computer deployment and endpoint management is an advantage;
• Good troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills; and
• Responsible, organised and able to work independently.

Terms of Appointment:   Starting salary and level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
