Technical Support Officer (IT Infrastructure & Laboratory Support)

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Technical Support Officer to support the operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, virtual environments, and specialized ICT laboratories. This role involves providing technical support to staff and students, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring the smooth delivery of academic and project activities.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates who have a strong interest in IT operations, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, system administration, and laboratory support services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for academic activities, including the setup, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software and hardware used in teaching and student projects.
• Monitor, maintain, and support physical and virtual IT systems to ensure system reliability and optimal performance.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, applications, and system management tools.
• Support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technical equipment in specialized laboratory environments.
• Perform maintenance activities in teaching and research laboratories while adhering to workplace safety requirements and procedures.
• Support ICT-related facilities including cloud, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and extended reality (XR) laboratory environments.
• Conduct system health checks and assist in resolving technical incidents to maintain service availability. [JD -

• Assist with procurement activities, asset tracking, inventory management, and IT equipment loan services.
