Technical Advisory and Problem-Solving

• Deliver Technical Support Service to assigned borrowers through in-person visits, mobile phone, messaging and SAJIDA’s digital advisory platforms.
• Diagnose plant diseases and pest attacks, identify livestock and poultry issues, and recommend practical remedies.
• Resolve technical and critical issues faced by farmers in agriculture, livestock and poultry on a routine basis.
• Refer complex or escalated cases to the Technical Specialist – Agriculture, and follow through to resolution.
• Call all assigned borrowers on the agreed advisory cycle, and maintain up-to-date contact records for each.

Farmer Training and Demonstration

• Train farmers in modern, climate-smart and sustainable farming methods.
• Deliver crop-stage capacity building and borrower orientation sessions at branch level.
• Support demonstration plots, safe cultivation practices and the adoption of high-yielding varieties.
• Support equipment-based technical demonstrations, including small-scale mechanisation and irrigation equipment.

Livestock and Poultry Support

• Coordinate with the livestock team to schedule and support vaccination campaigns and primary treatment for livestock and poultry.
• Educate farmers on the importance of vaccination and on proper livestock and poultry management practice.
• Provide first-line livestock and poultry advisory within the limits of training received, and refer clinical cases to the livestock team.

Input, Insurance and Market Linkage

• Help farmers and local dealers use seeds, fertilisers, feed and machinery correctly and safely.
• Support agri-insurance enrolment, borrower awareness and claims documentation in coordination with the Agri-Insurance team.
• Support the formation and functioning of market linkage groups, and build connections with local buyers and traders.
• Connect farmers with agricultural extension hubs, service providers and digital helplines.

Requirements

• Experience: 1-5 years
• Education: bachelor of science in agriculture
• Skills: technical support, project support, agricultural research, technical services, administrative assistance, field technicians
