Technical Support Specialist - Nelspruit

We are a growing technology company seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join their team in Nelspruit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support across network infrastructure, VoIP systems, firewalls and CCTV installations, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and reliable service delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and maintenance for ISP, WISP or telecommunications network infrastructure.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot MikroTik RouterOS v6 and v7 devices.
• Diagnose connectivity, routing and performance issues, including TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT and VPNs (L2TP, IPsec, WireGuard).
• Install, configure and troubleshoot Yeastar PBX systems and Yealink IP phones.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot CCTV systems and connectivity.
• Configure and support firewalls, network security and access controls, including Sophos or similar solutions.
• Monitor network performance using Zabbix or similar tools, maintain documentation and escalate complex issues.
• Provide professional customer support and participate in scheduled after-hours standby rotation.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 3+ years' technical support experience within an ISP, WISP or telecommunications environment.
• Strong practical experience with MikroTik RouterOS v6 and v7.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, NAT, firewall configuration and VPN technologies.
• Hands-on experience installing and configuring Yeastar PBX systems and Yealink IP phones.
• Experience with CCTV installation, maintenance and technical support.
• Experience with Sophos, FortiGate or other firewall platforms will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Zabbix or similar network monitoring tools will be advantageous.
• MikroTik certifications such as MTCNA or MTCRE will be beneficial.
• Yeastar certifications, including YSCT, YSCSS, YSCRS or YSCIS, will be advantageous.
• Willingness to participate in a standby rotation.

Pay: R18 000,00 - R22 000,00 per month
