Technical Systems Engineer (Subsea)

JOB SUMMARY:

Develops, educates and enables the Company’s Subsea solution strategy throughout the theater focusing on strategically significant accounts and opportunities within the Panduit Subsea Solutions. Works with the Strategic/Territory Account Manager to identify, develop and close opportunities at a district, regional and theater level. Serves as the technical solution expert within the field complimenting the Strategic/Territory Account Manager by providing technical guidance and ownership of the Subsea business opportunities. Keeps up to date on current technologies, techniques, and processes for Panduit’s offering, Subsea Product, and solutions. Build relationships with key account stakeholders on a technical level and provides technical linkage between the customer and Panduit Business Units.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identifies and qualifies opportunity early in the process via close interaction with the account team and understands the customers’ business issues/needs. Focuses on large scale and big impact of Subsea opportunities by providing the optimum solutions with Panduit’s subsea product and solutions.
• Designs the solutions ranging from simple to complex, individually or within a team. Understands when to involve the relevant Professional Services for the design. Works on solutions for national opportunities / Large Named Accounts in multiple states or countries.
• Provides regular product/Solutions/technical training to Account Managers, and regional sales team to update them on the latest product developments.
• Builds and sustains strong relationships with key customers and key partners in support of Subsea opportunities, owns all technical aspects and provides technical guidance.
• Utilizes CRM to communicate regular updates to the account team on opportunities and to drive opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in offshore wind, marine infrastructure or related heavy industries.
• Preferably with experience in Offshore EPC companies, Subsea Cable Manufacturers, Offshore Wind Developers or marine equipment pre-sales environments.
• Knowledge and understanding of Offshore Wind and Subsea Cable Infrastructure, with specific knowledge and experience in Cable Protection Systems (CPS), subsea trenching/burial concepts and relevant marine engineering/classification standards preferred.
• Proficiency in engineering design/analysis software related to marine or mechanical structures is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English alongside fluency in Korean.
• Working office in Seoul/Ulsan, South Korea.
