Technical Team Lead – Front-End / Full Stack Development

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Team Lead with strong expertise in front-end development, particularly in ReactJS and React Native, to provide technical leadership across our web and mobile development initiatives.

The role will primarily focus on delivering scalable, responsive and high-quality front-end solutions, while also working closely with the back-end team on Node.js development, API integration and end-to-end application functionality. The successful candidate will also play an important role in technical improvement, problem-solving and the development of the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, from solution design and architecture through development, implementation and deployment.
• Lead the development of responsive, scalable and maintainable web and mobile applications, with a strong focus on performance, usability and user experience.
• Define, establish and continuously improve front-end development standards, frameworks, coding practices and technical guidelines.
• Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless end-to-end application functionality.
• Contribute hands-on to Node.js back-end development using JavaScript / TypeScript where required.
• Provide technical guidance and support to both internal development teams and clients, including investigation and resolution of application-related issues.
• Assess existing applications and solutions, identifying opportunities to improve system quality, performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Guide, coach and mentor developers, encouraging strong engineering practices and continuous technical development.
• Keep abreast of emerging front-end technologies, development methodologies and industry best practices, and assess their applicability to the organisation's technology environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Full Stack Development, with a strong emphasis on Front-End Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with ReactJS and React Native.
• Solid understanding of modern front-end development frameworks, responsive web development and UI/UX principles.
• Practical knowledge of Node.js, RESTful APIs and relevant back-end technologies.
• Good understanding of software architecture, development methodologies, coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects effectively across different teams and client environments.
• Previous experience in technical leadership, team leadership, mentoring or people management.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
