Technical Team Lead (.NET)

WATA Software is looking for Technical Leads .NET to join a software development team working on Railway Systems and Rail Technology Solutions.

The role focuses on technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, including solution design, software architecture, implementation, code reviews, testing, debugging, integration, and performance optimization.

Candidates will lead the technical development of .NET-based applications, establish engineering best practices, and guide developers in delivering reliable, maintainable, and scalable software solutions. They will collaborate with project managers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with project requirements and the needs of the railway domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of software solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Define technical architecture, coding standards, development guidelines, and best practices for the engineering team.
• Review business and technical requirements, assess feasibility, and propose effective technical solutions.
• Guide developers through implementation, code reviews, debugging, and technical problem-solving.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, performance, scalability, and security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to align technical delivery with project objectives.
• Identify technical risks, resolve complex engineering issues, and support the team in making sound technical decisions.
• Oversee API design, database integration, and system integration to ensure reliable and maintainable solutions.
• Support effort estimation, technical planning, task allocation, and delivery tracking in collaboration with project management.
• Promote engineering best practices, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and the professional development of team members.
• Contribute to technical documentation and ensure adherence to established development processes.

Requirement:

• Strong professional experience in software development using C# and the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with .NET Core / modern .NET and ASP.NET Core.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, SQL queries, and performance optimization.
• Understanding of software architecture, system integration, scalability, security, and application performance.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and code quality practices.
• Proven ability to provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and support other developers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to take ownership of technical quality and contribute to successful project delivery.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience designing microservices-based or distributed systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of caching solutions such as Redis.
• Experience with automated testing, test-driven development (TDD), or behavior-driven development (BDD).
• Experience with performance tuning, application security, and production issue investigation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working with international clients or distributed development teams.
