Technical Writer

SUMMARY OF ROLE

We are seeking a Technical Writer with an electrical engineering background to develop high-quality Maintenance Manuals, Operating Manuals, and User Manuals for power systems and industrial control applications. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in English (written and spoken) , experienced with LaTeX , and can collaborate closely with engineering, product, and service teams to produce clear, compliant, and field-ready documentation. Proficiency in German, Italian, French, or Dutch is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Author and own Maintenance, Operating, and User Manuals for electrical/power systems, drives, converters, and control systems.
• Translate complex engineering content (schematics, interlocks, sequences, test procedures) into clear, structured, and field-usable documentation.
• Develop content in LaTeX using modular templates, style guides, and content reuse strategies.
• Create and update SOPs, troubleshooting guides, installation/commissioning instructions, and service bulletins.
• Interpret technical inputs: Single-line diagrams (SLDs), electrical GA drawings, wiring diagrams, protection settings, I/O lists, interlock matrices, and HMI/SCADA workflows.
• Work with SMEs (Electrical, Controls, SCADA, Simulation teams) to validate content and ensure technical accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety conventions (e.g., symbols, lockout-tagout practices, hazard/notice formatting).
• Localize content and support multilingual documentation (DE/IT/FR/NL) with language reviewers as needed.
• Own version control and release management across documentation sets; maintain change logs and configuration records.
