Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Pay: $75/hour on W2

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to develop, edit, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal process documentation in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing skills, experience with document control and quality compliance, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and maintain SOPs and internal process documentation.
• Develop and update process flowcharts using Microsoft Visio.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and SMEs to document complex processes.
• Ensure documentation complies with quality standards, document control requirements, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Manage document uploads, revisions, and releases through document control systems.
• Maintain consistency with company templates, guidelines, and style standards.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical writing or editing experience in a regulated environment, with a focus on SOPs and process documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Professional Writing, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, grammar, and communication skills.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Visio.
• Ability to create and interpret process flowcharts.
• Experience in medical devices or another regulated industry.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent tools.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of document control processes.
• Experience with OneNote, Excel, or Smartsheet.
• Familiarity with localization processes.

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
