Technical Writer - HEXAGON

We are looking for a technical writer to help us putting together Technical Documents according to Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 .

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain customer-facing technical documentation in accordance with Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230.
• Develop clear and comprehensive user manuals, operating instructions, installation guides, maintenance instructions, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Document complex mechatronic products, covering mechanical systems, electronics, sensors, actuators, software, and user interfaces.
• Create technical illustrations independently from 3D CAD data, using STEP files provided by the engineering team.
• Develop documentation for safety-critical functions, including safety warnings, residual risks, limitations of use, emergency procedures, and safe operating and maintenance instructions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to collect and understand relevant technical information and ensure documentation is technically accurate.
• Translate complex engineering information into clear, structured, and customer-friendly documentation.

Profile

• Proven experience writing customer-facing technical documentation, particularly user manuals, operating instructions, installation guides, maintenance instructions, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Experience documenting complex mechatronic products, involving a combination of mechanical systems, electronics, sensors, actuators, software, and user interfaces.
• Ability to independently create technical illustrations from 3D CAD data.
• Experience documenting safety-critical functions, including safety warnings, residual risks, limitations of use, emergency procedures, and safe operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to understand technical engineering information such as CAD models, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, system architecture, specifications, and test documentation, and translate it into clear instructions, is a plus.
