Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Air Compressor Service Technician to support Industrial Products service operations within FAMCO. The role focuses on servicing, troubleshooting and overhauling Ingersoll Rand oil-injected and oil-free air compressors, air dryers and related equipment.

You will carry out field-based service activities at customer sites, including project work that may require travel within the UAE, overseas and to onshore or offshore oil field platforms. Your technical expertise, accurate reporting and customer-focused approach will help deliver work efficiently while minimising repeat repairs.

What you will do

• Service, troubleshoot and overhaul Ingersoll Rand oil-injected and oil-free air compressors, air dryers, air ends and related industrial products.
• Diagnose mechanical and technical faults and complete repairs effectively, with a focus on avoiding repeat work.
• Carry out field service activities at end-user sites, including project assignments within the UAE, overseas and at onshore or offshore oil field platforms.
• Complete service work within allocated labour hours while maintaining the required quality standards.
• Prepare clear and accurate service reports and communicate effectively with customers and the service team.
• Support service revenue objectives by completing service activities efficiently across the installed equipment base.
• Deliver customer-focused service and work collaboratively with the wider Industrial Products service team.

Required Skills to be successful

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience servicing air compressors.

• Hands-on service experience with Ingersoll Rand oil-injected and oil-free air compressors.

• A Diploma or higher qualification in an engineering discipline.

• A valid UAE driving licence.

What equips you for the role

• Diploma or Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or a related engineering discipline from a recognised institute.
• 3–5 years of practical air compressor service experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of Ingersoll Rand oil-injected and oil-free air compressors.
• Ability to troubleshoot, service and overhaul air compressors, air dryers and air ends.
• Mechanical product knowledge and practical fault-finding skills.
• Experience carrying out field-based service work at customer sites.
• Project service experience.
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate service reports.
• Good English communication skills.
• Customer-service orientation and effective teamwork.
• Willingness to travel for service activities within the UAE, overseas and to onshore or offshore oil field platforms.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
