Technician & Carpenter

UV Group is seeking a skilled and hands-on Technician & Carpenter to support maintenance, carpentry, fabrication, installation, and event setup requirements across our businesses.

The successful candidate should have practical technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete repair and installation work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out basic maintenance, repair, and installation work at company locations and event venues.
• Perform carpentry work, including cutting, assembling, repairing, and installing wooden structures and fixtures.
• Assist with the fabrication and installation of counters, display units, shelves, partitions, and event structures.
• Support event setup and dismantling, including the installation of furniture and equipment.
• Identify and report maintenance issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly.
• Assist with painting, finishing, minor repairs, and general maintenance when required.
• Coordinate with the operations team to complete assigned jobs within deadlines.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and instructions from management.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a technician, carpenter, maintenance worker, or in a similar role.
• Practical knowledge of carpentry, repairs, installations, and basic maintenance.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Experience with event fabrication, exhibition stands, or retail fit-outs is an advantage.
• Ability to read measurements and work accurately.
• Physically fit and comfortable working at different locations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours depending on operational requirements.
• Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
