Technician and Maintenance

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance of production machinery and equipment. You will work closely with the Production Department to minimise machine downtime, maintain equipment reliability and ensure production operations run safely and efficiently. This role is suitable for a hands-on, technically skilled and responsible individual who enjoys troubleshooting machinery and working in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of production machinery, equipment and supporting facilities
• Conduct daily machine and equipment checks to ensure they are in safe and proper working condition
• Identify abnormal machine conditions such as unusual noise, vibration, overheating, leakage or abnormal performance
• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
• Replace worn, damaged or defective components such as bearings, belts, chains, gears, sensors, switches, motors, valves, pumps and other machine parts
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns during production operations and diagnose root causes
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance according to the approved maintenance plan
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting of production machinery and equipment
• Provide technical support to the Production Department to ensure smooth production operations
• Record machine breakdowns, repairs, servicing and preventive maintenance activities

About you

• Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or other relevant technical fields
• Preferably 1–3 years of relevant working experience in manufacturing, factory maintenance, engineering or production
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Good understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance
• Able to use hand tools and basic testing instruments
• Able to read basic technical drawings, electrical diagrams and equipment manuals
• Hands-on and technically minded
• Responsible and reliable with good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Safety-conscious and disciplined
