Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to support daily production operations. The successful candidate will operate production equipment, perform process conversions, monitor product quality and work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to resolve production issues.

This role is suitable for candidates with a technical background who are interested in developing their skills in semiconductor, PCB or substrate manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and perform assigned tasks to support daily manufacturing runs.
• Carry out part and process conversions using validated recipes and approved parameters during start-up and mass production.
• Set and verify process parameters according to established procedures.
• Train Manufacturing Operators on the proper use of SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to identify and resolve production line issues promptly.
• Conduct initial investigations and support root cause analysis for process and output defects.
• Perform precision measurements based on pre-set limits and tolerances.
• Manage shopfloor inventory levels for raw materials, chemicals and machine consumables.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance activities for production equipment.
• Perform manual chemical analysis for relevant manufacturing processes.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection and maintenance records.
• Follow all safety, quality and operational procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician in pharmaceutical, industrial, and building automation sectors.

Requirements

• Nitec in Engineering, Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience in semiconductor, PCB, substrate or similar manufacturing environments will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of production processes, equipment operation and quality requirements.
• Able to read and follow SOPs, Work Instructions and technical documents.
• Good problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Meticulous, responsible and willing to work in a production environment.
• Comfortable handling chemicals and performing precision measurements, where required.
