About the role

Leadtec Instruments (Asia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a crucial position within our organisation, responsible for maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting technical equipment and systems. Based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, this role plays an integral part in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Technician will be the backbone of our technical support operations, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and the reliability of our services.

What you'll be doing

• Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing on instruments and equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical faults using appropriate testing equipment and diagnostic tools
• Repair and replace faulty components, parts, and systems according to technical specifications
• Conduct equipment inspections and document findings in maintenance logs and reports
• Respond to technical support requests from customers and internal teams in a timely manner
• Install and commission new equipment following manufacturer guidelines and company procedures
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and service activities
• Collaborate with the technical team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices in all technical work
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as required

What we're looking for

• Completed technical qualification or certification in a relevant field (e.g., electronics, instrumentation, mechanical engineering)
• Proven experience working as a technician in the trades and services industry, preferably with instrumentation or technical equipment
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic and testing equipment, and ability to interpret technical manuals and specifications
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to technical issues
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Good understanding of health and safety standards and regulations relevant to technical work
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate technical documentation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to undergo continuous training and professional development
• Preferred: Experience with specific instrument types or technical systems relevant to our industry
