Technician

About the role

A multi-skilled technician position in a full-service hotel responsible for coordinating and supervising day-to-day maintenance operations, identifying and preventing maintenance issues, assisting with improvement projects, and maintaining accurate records and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day response to any and all maintenance issues within the hotel as required by the Maintenance Manager
• Identify the causes of maintenance issues and submit proposals for works to prevent future maintenance issues based on your knowledge and experience
• Assist with the execution of improvement projects at the property alongside the Maintenance Supervisor and Manager
• Record jobs completed, update logbooks and assist the Maintenance Manager in weekly and monthly reports, record keeping and the Monthly Inventory

Requirements

• Working experience as a multi-skilled technician in a full-service hotel or similar facility
• General knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Kitchen and other trades
• Able to communicate effectively in Malay and English, both written and spoken
• Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
• Mature, initiative, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Results oriented behavior
• Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving and a "Can Do" attitude
