Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the hotel's building, facilities, equipment, and M&E systems. The role ensures all facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained to support smooth hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for hotel facilities and equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and civil works.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and according to hotel standards.
• Monitor and maintain building facilities, lighting, water, sewage, and other related systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Carry out basic electrical, plumbing, civil, and general repair works when required.
• Supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance and repair works.
• Conduct testing of equipment and maintain proper maintenance records.
• Ensure tools, spare parts, and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues and breakdowns when required.

About you

• Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in building or hotel maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
• Experience in air-conditioning servicing, troubleshooting, and repair will be an added advantage.
• Able to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair works.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and on-call when required.
• Familiar with workplace safety requirements and proper use of PPE.
