Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities

• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to:

  • electrical systems
  • air-conditioning systems
  • plumbing and sanitary systems
  • lighting and power supply
  • doors, locks, and furniture

• Attend and resolve guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally

• Monitor the operation of hotel equipment including pumps, generators, water heaters, and ventilation systems

• Carry out corrective maintenance and minimize equipment downtime

• Support room maintenance during daily operations and room turnaround

• Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized repair works

• Ensure all engineering works comply with safety regulations and hotel standards

• Maintain proper maintenance records, checklists, and service reports

• Assist during emergencies including power failure, flooding, or equipment breakdown

• Ensure tools, workshop, and maintenance areas are kept clean and organized

• Support energy-saving and cost-control initiatives by monitoring utilities usage

Requirements

• Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Air-Conditioning, or related field

• Minimum 1–3 years experience in hotel maintenance or building facilities maintenance

• Knowledge in:

  • HVAC systems
  • electrical troubleshooting
  • plumbing repairs
  • preventive maintenance

• Experience in hospitality industry is preferred

• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

• Good teamwork and communication skills

• Able to respond quickly to operational issues and guest complaints
