TECHNICIAN

Job Purpose:

• The Automotive Collision Technician at Deacon Jones Auto Group is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This role requires expertise in collision repair techniques, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine necessary repairs.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify structural and cosmetic issues.
• Execute repair plans, including disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicle components, ensuring all work meets industry standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to provide accurate repair estimates and timelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating equipment and handling materials.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance repair processes and techniques.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures and provide updates on progress.
• Document all repairs and services performed, ensuring accuracy and completeness for record-keeping and billing purposes.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge in collision repair.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a postsecondary program in automotive technology is preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive collision repair.
• Proven track record of working with various vehicle makes and models.
• Experience with using diagnostic tools and repair equipment specific to collision repair.
