Technician

Job Summary

The Technician will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in coordinating day-to-day maintenance and operations of various facilities within the school’s premise and external accommodation.

Key Duties

• To lead and perform both reactive and preventive maintenance assigned by the Maintenance Executive.
• To perform assigned maintenance and rectification tasks at the highest standards.
• To responsibly handle emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance.
• To ensure job cards are attended and resolved in a timely manner.
• To take the lead in resolving complex maintenance issues.
• To support swimming pool operations during the absence of pool technician.
• To perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Personal characteristics:

• Knowledgeable in facilities maintenance.
• Able to deal courteously with people.
• Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.
• A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing;
• Affinity with the School’s boarding ethos and with the values of Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar.
