Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Technician to join Unisem, a leading semiconductor manufacturer located in Simpang Pulai / Gopeng, Perak. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment, supporting engineering studies, and contributing to improvement activities that enhance machine reliability, efficiency, and productivity. This position offers hands-on exposure to advanced semiconductor processes and is open to both experienced diploma holders and fresh graduates eager to build a career in high-tech manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, set up equipment, and troubleshoot machines to ensure smooth operations.
• Support engineering studies to address process quality issues and drive machine improvements in reliability, capacity, and cost efficiency.
• Assist with data collection on process engineering and qualification lots.
• Prevent equipment breakdowns and uphold 6S standards in production lines.
• Carry out improvement activities including buy-off of new equipment, modifications, and qualification of machine parts to improve uptime.
• Contribute to line optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Diploma qualification in Electrical & Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical foundations are warmly encouraged to apply.
• Must be able to work on 12-hour rotating shifts to support production needs.
• Able to read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Based at Simpang Pulai / Gopeng, Perak.
