About the role

This role involves servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of electric vehicles (EV) according to manufacturer standards. You will diagnose and troubleshoot EV electrical, electronic and mechanical systems, inspect and maintain high-voltage (HV) battery systems, charging systems, electric motors and related components, and perform EV diagnostic testing using approved diagnostic equipment and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of electric vehicles (EV) according to manufacturer standards
• Diagnose and troubleshoot EV electrical, electronic and mechanical systems
• Inspect and maintain high-voltage (HV) battery systems, charging systems, electric motors and related components
• Perform EV diagnostic testing using approved diagnostic equipment and tools
• Carry out high-voltage system isolation, testing and repair in accordance with safety procedures
• Identify and report faults related to battery, charging, electrical and electronic systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance and repair work accurately and efficiently
• Conduct pre-delivery and post-repair inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and in proper working condition
• Complete job cards, diagnostic reports and other required workshop documentation accurately
• Follow all EV and high-voltage safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Requirements :

• Certificate / Diploma in Automotive Technology, Electrical, Electronics or related field
• Experience in EV or automotive repair is an advantage
• Knowledge of EV high-voltage systems, battery systems and charging systems
• Able to use automotive diagnostic equipment
• High-voltage / EV certification is an advantage
• Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems
• Safety-conscious and able to strictly follow HV safety procedures
• Responsible, disciplined and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Willing to attend technical and EV-related training
• Possess a valid driving licence is an advantage
