About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our team in Jitra, Kedah on a full-time basis. This role is integral to our operations, as you will be responsible for the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems and equipment. As a Technician, you will play a vital part in ensuring our projects are executed to the highest standards and that all equipment functions optimally. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to the success of our business and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults using appropriate testing equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
• Document all maintenance work, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company procedures
• Assist with the assembly and commissioning of new electrical and electronic systems
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues
• Keep up to date with new technologies and best practices in electrical and electronic engineering

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent technical certification
• Proven experience working as a technician in the electrical or electronic engineering field
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuit theory, and electronic components
• Proficiency in using testing and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit analysers
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• A commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with regulations
• Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve standing, climbing, or working in various positions
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel when required
• Experience with power distribution systems, control systems, or renewable energy technologies is advantageous
