Role Description The Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in England, United Kingdom. In this role, the Technician participates in fire, flood, and water damage restoration projects, including structural drying, smoke and soot removal, and mold remediation. Daily tasks include assessing damage, handling and cleaning contents such as carpets, soft furnishings, and personal items, and using specialized equipment and cleaning agents in line with safety and industry standards. The Technician documents work performed, follows job-specific instructions, and collaborates with team members to deliver efficient, high-quality restoration services. The role also involves interacting with customers on-site in a professional manner and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant restoration skills, such as basic knowledge of water damage restoration, fire and smoke cleaning, and structural drying techniques.
• Ability to handle contents restoration tasks, including cleaning and caring for textiles, carpets, soft furnishings, leather goods, and other soft items.
• Strong practical skills, including safe operation of tools and equipment, adherence to health and safety procedures, and use of protective gear.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers on-site.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to assess damage accurately and follow restoration plans and guidelines.
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, moving equipment and contents, and working in varied environments.
• Willingness to learn industry best practices; prior experience in restoration, construction, or facilities maintenance is beneficial.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred; eligibility to work in the United Kingdom is required.
