What you'll be doing

1. Inspect and ensure all electrical equipment and appliances are in safe and good working condition.
2. Monitor and maintain electrical distribution boards (DBs), riser rooms and the Main Switchboard (MSB) room.
3. Inspect and ensure fire protection systems, including fire pumps, wet risers, smoke detectors and related installations, are in good working condition.
4. Carry out preventive and scheduled maintenance, ensuring all maintenance checklists and records are updated accordingly.
5. Monitor the Building Automation System (BAS) and report any abnormalities or system faults.
6. Perform basic plumbing and piping inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting.
7. Monitor the Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) system to ensure it operates efficiently and remains in good condition.
8. Check ACMV components, including modulating valves, supply air temperature and return air temperature.
9. Attend to technical complaints, equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests promptly.
10. Coordinate with contractors and service providers for maintenance, servicing and repair works.
11. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with established safety procedures and applicable requirements.
12. Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, inspection reports, equipment conditions and repair works.
13. Perform other technical and maintenance duties as assigned by the management.

What we're looking for

• Certificate, Diploma or vocational training in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Building Services or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management or technical operations.
• Experience in shopping mall operations or commercial property maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, fire protection systems, ACMV, plumbing and general building maintenance.
• Knowledge of preventive and scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to identify equipment faults, perform inspections and coordinate necessary repair works.
• Good understanding of workplace safety procedures and maintenance standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise maintenance requests and work independently as well as in a team.
• Good communication and coordination skills when dealing with tenants, contractors and internal teams.
• Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator (OSH-C) certification will be an added advantage.
• Willing to work Shift Hours.
• Willing to work at Jaya Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya Selangor.
