Technician (Multiple Section)

About the role

MFS Technology (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and versatile Technician (Multiple Section) to join our engineering team in Batu Berendam, Melaka. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work across various technical sections within our electrical and electronic engineering operations. As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electronic systems and components. This position is essential to maintaining the quality and reliability of our products whilst supporting our engineering teams in delivering innovative solutions to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic components and systems
• Support the installation and commissioning of electronic equipment across multiple technical sections
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing on electrical and electronic systems
• Conduct quality control inspections and testing procedures to ensure products meet specifications and standards
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment and measurement instruments
• Document technical data, test results, and maintenance records accurately
• Collaborate with senior engineers and technicians to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environment
• Support the modification and repair of existing electronic systems as required

What we're looking for

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical field
• Proven experience working as a technician in electrical or electronic engineering environments
• Sound knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, circuit design, and component functionality
• Proficiency in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other standard test and measurement equipment
• Experience with soldering, PCB assembly, and hand tool usage
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and workplace health and safety regulations
• Flexibility to work across multiple technical sections and adapt to diverse technical challenges
• Preferred experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or industrial automation systems
