Technician (Overhaul)

Job Summary This role will support repair, overhaul, and refurbishment activities for compressor and rotating equipment components. The selected incumbent will specialize in the inspection, overhaul, repair, and assembly of compressor airends and rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working on screw compressors, centrifugal compressors, or other industrial rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support overhaul and refurbishment activities for industrial compressors and associated equipment to extend asset life
• Perform complete disassembly, inspection, overhaul, repair, and reassembly of compressor, including airends.
• Conduct dimensional inspections and condition assessments of critical compressor components.
• Repair and refurbish equipment in accordance with OEM standards and repair procedures.
• Perform bearing replacement, rotor inspection, shaft measurements, and precision assembly work.
• Troubleshoot compressor performance and mechanical issues.
• Prepare inspection reports and recommend repair actions.
• Support testing and performance verification after overhaul activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational requirements.
• Support the expansion of in-house repair capabilities to reduce outsourcing costs.

Requirements

• Mechanical background with minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in compressor repair, overhaul, or rotating equipment maintenance.
• Proven experience in overhaul and repair, screw compressor assembly and repair, centrifugal compressor assembly and repair and rotating equipment maintenance
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, and assembly procedures.
• Strong knowledge of bearings, clearances, alignment, and mechanical tolerances.
• Experience in the compressor industry is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
