Technician (Pre-Delivery Inspection) - Auto Painter Background

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technician with an Auto Painter background to join our Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are in excellent condition prior to release by conducting inspections based on PDI checklists, performing minor paint corrections, and carrying out basic automotive repairs as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) of vehicles using the prescribed checklist and company standards.
• Ensure units are in good condition and ready for customer delivery.
• Identify, document, and address cosmetic and functional defects found during inspection.
• Perform paint touch-ups, polishing, buffing, and minor refinishing works to maintain vehicle appearance.
• Check vehicle exterior and interior for scratches, dents, paint defects, stains, and other quality concerns.
• Perform basic automotive troubleshooting and minor repairs when necessary.
• Inspect vehicle accessories, lighting systems, fluid levels, battery condition, tires, and other basic vehicle components.
• Coordinate with Service, Parts, and Quality teams to resolve issues identified during inspection.
• Ensure all work is completed within established quality and delivery timelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while observing safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate, Vocational Graduate, or Technical Course in Automotive Technology or related field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in automotive painting, vehicle inspection, or automotive servicing.
• Knowledgeable in automotive paint application, polishing, color matching, and detailing.
• Knowledgeable in basic automotive repair and maintenance.
• Familiar with Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) processes and quality standards.
• Ability to use automotive diagnostic and repair tools is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to render overtime and work on weekends when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• TESDA NC II in Automotive Servicing and/or Automotive Body Painting is an advantage.
• Experience in a dealership, vehicle assembly plant, or automotive service center.
• With a valid driver's license (Restriction Codes B, B1, or equivalent).
