Technician/ Senior Technician (Injection Molding)

Job Summary:

The Equipment Technician or Senior Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair, and optimization of manufacturing equipment. This role involves hands-on work to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency, as well as assisting engineers with various technical tasks.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities:

• Perform machine setup, startup, shutdown, and changeover activities for injection molding machines.
• Monitor and adjust machine parameters to ensure high production output and quality.
• Troubleshoot injection molding related issues and perform tool repair.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance on the equipment, and embark on continuous improvement.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications.
• Ensure all equipment and processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Complying to procedures: that aligned with certification of QMS, EMS, and OSH Management Systems/ Standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
• Maintaining and complying to procedures that aligned with certification of QMS, EMS, and OSH Management Systems/ Standards.
• Supports risk assessment activities related to process, software, and product quality in alignment with applicable regulatory and quality system requirements.

Qualification and Skills:

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Tooling, Plastics Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in plastic injection molding.
• Experience with mold setup, process optimization, troubleshooting and tool repair. Have basic grinding and milling machining skills.
• Preferred experience with medical device, automotive, electronics, precision molding and ISO 13485
• Experience and knowledge in TPM, Lean and 6Sigma will be an added advantage.
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
