Technician (Soil Department)

Job Overview

To perform various kind of soil and rock tests to relevant standards.

Main Responsibilities

1. To carry out soil & rock sampling and compliance testing on-site or in a laboratory, including sample preparation and testing data/record processing
2. Checking and maintaining the testing equipment to ensure it meets all the required standards to carry out the services/tests accurately

Requirements / Qualifications

1. Form 5 / Certificate in Civil Engineering or equivalent
2. At least 1-2 years working experience
3. Experience in construction materials testing is an advantage
4. Fresh graduates will be considered as Technician Trainees
5. Holder of a Hong Kong Driving Licence is an advantage

Key Competencies

1. Collect appropriate samples on-site (e.g. from construction site) for laboratory testing
2. Conduct the tests in the laboratory within the required timeframe
3. To accurately and methodically log and record a totally unbiased range of test results
4. Provide the administration team with the results in a timely and efficient manner
5. Conduct all tasks with cost-efficiency in mind
