Job Overview:

The aircraft landing gears undergoes high impact stress and operates under harsh environment of extreme temperatures and high wear inducing environments.

The main components of the landing gear needs corrosion and wear protection.

This is achieved by applying a layer of wear and corrosion resistant coating on the moving parts and parts that are exposed to the environments.

This role is to prepare the parts to be plated with protective coating.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Carry out production work as assigned by the Flow Leader or Team Leader.
• Carry out housekeeping tasks according to the Flow Leader or Team Leader's instructions to maintain 5S.
• To perform critical special processes such as: Chrome plating, Nickel Plating/ cadmium plating, shot-peening, blasting, anodizing, heat treatment, passivation and HVOF stripping for major aircraft components.
• Carry out preparation and plating process according to technical instructions and routers.
• Ensure that the quality level of the components repaired meets the specifications.
• Carry out routine maintenance of plating tanks, equipment and fixtures. (TPM daily, monthly and quarterly)
• Participate actively in contributing to HSE development and improvement.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement programs and initiatives.
• Strict compliance to special process (plating, peening) instructions.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

Job Requirements

• NITEC/Professional Certificate or higher in Chemical Process Technology, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in aerospace MRO, surface treatment, plating or special processes is preferred.
• Able to work in a production environment and comply with strict process and quality requirements.
• Candidates with experience in Chrome Plating, Nickel/Cadmium Plating, Shot Peening, Anodizing, Heat Treatment or Passivation will have an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Aerospace MRO or precision manufacturing
• Surface treatment / electroplating / chemical processing
• Chrome, Nickel/Cadmium Plating, Shot Peening, Anodizing, Heat Treatment or Passivation
• Reading technical instructions and process routers
• Working in a regulated manufacturing environment with strong quality and safety standards
