Technician ( Tooling)

About the role

A Tooling Technician in the manufacturing injection moulding process is responsible for the operation, setup, and maintenance of injection moulding machines. They ensure machines are running efficiently, troubleshoot any issues during the moulding process, perform mould changes, and verify the quality of the finished parts.

Key responsibilities

• Molds cleaning and servicing for production
• Solve mold problems on the machines
• Responsible to ensure production schedule is met
• Ensure proper recording in Daily Job Report
• Practice 5S in workplace
• Able to understand engineering drawings
• Able to handle all conventional machines
• Assist superior when required

About you

• At least 1-2 year working experience in similar field
• Completed SPM or Certificate of Technical or Vocational Education
• Able to handle conventional machines
• Knowledge of Milling, Grinding, Lathe machine process
• Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning
• Possess the discipline to execute tasks without procrastination
• Ability to handle basic tools
• Knowledge of safety precaution
• Good human relations to relate cordially with team members and workers
• Computer knowledge in PowerPoint and Excel
