Technology Delivery Manager

Role purpose

Leads the offshore technology team, owning delivery commitments, engineering standards, incident response and the relationship with onshore technology stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of business analysts, testers and developers working fully remotely.
• Own sprint and release planning, delivery commitments and capacity management.
• Act as the technology escalation point for production incidents affecting live operations.
• Maintain engineering, testing and change control standards, and evidence compliance.
• Own recruitment input, capability development, performance management and succession for the team.
• Report delivery, risk and improvement status into the client governance forum.
• Identify automation and modernisation opportunities and build the case for them.

Essential skills and experience

• Technology delivery leadership in an application development and support environment.
• Credible technical depth – able to challenge design and estimate quality.
• Incident and problem management experience.
• Strong stakeholder management with non-technical business leaders.
• People leadership of a distributed technical team.
