Technology Innovation Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

-Identify and develop new business opportunities in sheet-metal fabrication, stamping, laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, and related manufacturing services.

-Troubleshoot production problems related to machines, tooling, fixtures, materials, and manufacturing processes.

-Conduct process trials and machine testing for new products and technologies.

-Research emerging technologies, automation, robotics, AI, Industry 4.0, and advanced manufacturing solutions.

-Lead new product introduction (NPI) and technology development projects from concept to production.

Develop technical and commercial proposals for new customers and projects.

-Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Sales teams to evaluate new opportunities.

-Analyze customer requirements, drawings, specifications, and manufacturing feasibility.

-Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cost, capacity, and manufacturing lead time.

-Evaluate and recommend new machinery, tooling, software, automation, and production technologies.

-Develop business cases, ROI calculations, project budgets, and implementation plans for technology investments.

-Build relationships with customers, technology suppliers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.

-Monitor competitors, market trends, customer needs, and emerging manufacturing technologies.

-Support quotation, costing, pricing, and contract negotiations for new projects.

-Establish KPIs for innovation, new business development, cost savings, and technology implementation.

-Lead cross-functional teams in implementing approved innovation and business development projects.

-Train operators and technicians on new machines, processes, tooling, and technology.

-Ensure new processes and technologies comply with quality, safety, environmental, and customer requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

-Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.

-Typically 5–10 years of experience in sheet-metal manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, industrial automation, or B2B business development.

-Strong understanding of sheet-metal processes such as laser cutting, punching, bending, stamping, welding, machining, and surface finishing.

-Experience with CAD/CAM, manufacturing systems, automation, or Industry 4.0 technologies is advantageous.

-Demonstrated experience in developing new customers, products, processes, or manufacturing technologies.

-Strong commercial, analytical, project management, and negotiation skills.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
