What they need

Overview Susquehanna's technology organisation is growing fast, and engineering hiring has become a critical enabler of the firm’s technology and business priorities. To support this growth, we are creating a new role within our EMEA Recruitment team. We are looking for an experienced Technology Recruitment Lead to lead and develop the team and strengthen technology recruitment across the region.

This new position will provide you with the opportunity to be part of an innovative, fast-paced, and high-performing regional recruitment function in a highly collaborative global organisation.

You will lead the EMEA Technology recruitment team, set its recruitment and sourcing strategy, in line with our business priorities, partner directly with senior technology stakeholders across the business, and collaborate with recruiting leads in our Philadelphia, Hong Kong, and Sydney offices. You will also personally manage selected priority searches, playing a key role in the continued delivery of world-class technology talent to Susquehanna.

The Role This is a hands-on leadership role. The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Development and implementation of the EMEA technology recruitment strategy, aligning with business priorities and clear objectives across stakeholder management, pipeline quality, candidate experience, and delivery.
  • Leadership and development of the team. Coach, mentor, support and advise each recruiter to build their capability, set clear goals, and hold regular performance conversations, building capability and accountability across the team.
  • Set clear expectations across the team for a well-managed recruitment process.
  • Own the delivery of end-to-end selected technology recruitment processes, from sourcing and interviewing through to offer management.
  • Implement a solution-driven approach to the delivery of the EMEA technology workforce plan along with the relevant HR and Business partners.
  • Use recruitment data to assess pipeline health, identify bottlenecks and guide decisions on sourcing, selection, and offer strategy. Translate insights into clear actions that improve hiring outcomes and candidate experience with continuous measurement of this impact.
  • Partner with our Marketing team to shape our employer branding strategy for the region.
  • Lead the presence of Susquehanna at relevant industry events and play a key role in strengthening our engagement with future top technology talent for Susquehanna.
  • Build out the sourcing strategy and enable the team to bring it to life, using market insights to identify and engage future talent and build high-quality talent pipelines aligned to Susquehanna's needs and strategy.
  • Partner with and advise our EMEA technology leaders, using market data and talent insight to inform hiring priorities, advise on talent availability and agree effective approaches to attracting the best skills relevant to their teams’ requirements.
  • Collaborate with recruitment leads cross-regionally to drive consistency and alignment in the development and implementation of our recruitment strategy.
  • Own the candidate experience. Susquehanna is a collaborative, personable, and grounded organisation, and we aim to give every candidate an exceptional recruitment process.
  • Oversee the team's continued delivery of a highly effective and efficient candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle, making sure candidates receive consistent communication and timely feedback in line with agreed service standards.

What We're Looking For

  • You will have at least 7 years' experience within a regional/global recruitment function with a strong track record in technology recruitment.
  • You must have In-house recruiting experience and at least three years' experience directly managing, coaching, and developing a high-performing recruitment team, with demonstrated ability to build team capability and improve performance.
  • You will demonstrate your success as a recruitment expert, including direct end-to-end recruitment across a range of technology roles including software engineers, developers and technicians. Overseeing the full recruitment process from sourcing, interviewing, offer management and candidate relationship management.
  • Be results driven, with a true demonstration in the delivery of exceptional talent, candidate experience and stakeholder management within a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Experience leading a recruitment team in technology, finance, or fintech is strongly preferred; candidates from other fast-paced, high-volume environments will be considered.
