A major financial organisation is seeking an experienced Tech Risk Specialist.
Join a growing Risk & Compliance team and provide independent oversight of technology risk, operational resilience and governance across a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and strengthen technology risk, governance and resilience policies, processes and controls.
• Conduct technology risk assessments and support risk mitigation and remediation activities.
• Provide independent oversight and challenge across technology, cloud, data, AI and third-party risk domains.
• Perform assurance reviews and control testing to assess control effectiveness.
• Support operational resilience, business continuity and recovery capability uplift initiatives.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and industry frameworks, including APRA standards.
• Provide risk reporting, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Identify emerging technology risks, systemic issues and opportunities for control improvement.
• Review incidents and root cause analyses to ensure sustainable remediation outcomes.

About You

• Experience in Technology Risk, IT Risk, Operational Risk, Technology Governance, Risk & Compliance or IT Audit.
• Strong knowledge of technology risk management, cloud environments, operational resilience and governance frameworks.
• Financial industry experience is a must have
• APRA regulatory experience is highly desirable
• Experience conducting risk assessments, control assurance, testing or audit activities.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and provide effective independent challenge.
• Certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CGEIT, CCSP, CCSK or equivalent are highly regarded.
