Title : Retail Technology Specialist

Location : Modesto, CA Region (The position is home-based but requires frequent travel to customer locations throughout the assigned territory.)

Employment : 6 Month Contract-To-Hire

Pay Range : $35 - $40 / Hourly

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in technical sales, field service, technology implementation, account management, or a related customer-facing role.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, retail technology, electronic payments, or networking.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn, troubleshoot, and explain technology solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Consultative sales mindset with the ability to identify business needs and recommend solutions.
• Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently and occasionally work evenings, overnight shifts, or weekends for installations.

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Technology Sales & Support Consultant to manage and support technology solutions for independent grocery retailers throughout Central and Northern California.

This is a unique hybrid role combining technical support, technology implementation, account management, and consultative sales. The ideal candidate will have experience working with point-of-sale (POS) systems, retail technology, networking, or electronic payment solutions, along with strong customer relationship management skills.

This individual will serve as a trusted technology advisor to grocery retailers, helping them implement, maintain, and optimize technology solutions while identifying opportunities to introduce additional products and services.
