About the role

As a Technician -Technology, you will play a key role in assembling, maintaining, and preparing specialized geospatial and geophysical equipment used for surveying, mapping, and data collection. You will ensure all tools and systems are built to high quality standards, tested, and ready for deployment in the field.

The role also involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment, coordinating logistics and field dispatch activities, and supporting safe work practices by following HSE requirements.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys technical work, problem-solving, and ensuring equipment is reliable and field-ready.

What you will be doing

• Assemble mechanical, electronic, and sensor components following work instructions, drawings, and supervisor guidance.
• Perform basic functional testing, calibration support, and quality inspections to ensure equipment meets standards.
• Maintain, clean, and prepare equipment and tools, assisting with troubleshooting, repairs, and issue escalation when required.
• Pack, label, and prepare equipment for shipment while accurately recording assembly, inspection, and logistics activities.
• Adhere to HSE requirements, workplace procedures, PPE standards, and housekeeping practices, reporting hazards and incidents promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with technicians, supervisors, logistics, and support teams to deliver work safely and on schedule.

What you will bring

• Certificate or diploma in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field is desirable.
• At least 2-3 years’ experience assisting with the maintenance, handling, or basic troubleshooting of BMR or geophysics tools is preferred. Training can be provided.
• A basic understanding of circuit theory and how it applies to DC and AC circuits is desirable to support assembly, testing, and fault reporting tasks.
