Tekla Draughtsman – Drawing Office

FJ Booth Construction LtdWe are looking to recruit an experienced Tekla Draughtsman to join our established Drawing Office.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced structural steelwork draughtsman to join a busy team working on a range of structural steel projects from initial modelling through to fabrication and site installation.The RoleWorking closely with our Lead Draughtsman, engineering team, fabrication workshop and site teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate Tekla models and detailed drawings to support the successful delivery of projects.Key Responsibilities

• Drawing take-offs and building estimating models.
• Model structural steelwork using Tekla Structures in accordance with engineering and architectural drawings, reference models and connection calculations.
• Prepare accurate General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Produce detailed fabrication drawings in accordance with company standards and procedures.
• Support with raising Technical Queries (TQs).
• Report progress to the Lead Draughtsman.
• Ensure drawings and models are accurate, coordinated and produced to the required project programme.

About YouWe are looking for someone with:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience using Tekla Structures, within the structural steelwork industry.
• A proven track record in structural steel detailing and fabrication drawings.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Experience interpreting connection calculations and incorporating them accurately into models and drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, well-presented work.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
