About the role

Hansung Telecommunications Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Telco Rigger to join our telecommunications team in Metro Manila on a part-time basis. This role is essential to our operations, as you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications infrastructure and equipment. The Telco Rigger plays a critical role in ensuring our network remains robust, reliable, and capable of delivering exceptional service to our customers across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain telecommunications cables, equipment, and infrastructure at various heights and locations
• Perform rigging operations using appropriate safety equipment and techniques to secure and position telecommunication infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical faults in telecommunications systems and equipment
• Repair and replace damaged cables, connectors, and related telecommunications components
• Conduct regular maintenance and testing of telecommunications infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, including working at heights and confined space procedures
• Document all work completed, including installation details, maintenance records, and repair activities
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely completion of projects
• Respond to emergency calls and provide technical support to resolve service disruptions

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Telco Rigger, telecommunications technician, or similar role within the telecommunications industry
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, including fibre optics, copper cables, and network equipment
• Competency in rigging and working at heights with certification in rope access or elevated work (or willingness to obtain certification)
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills
• Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding manual work, including climbing and carrying equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within Metro Manila and surrounding areas
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with telecommunications tools and equipment is highly desirable
• Relevant certifications such as Working at Heights, Fall Prevention, or Telecommunications Installation are preferred
