TELECOM SITE ENGINEER

About the role

Jevant Technologies is seeking a skilled and dedicated Telecom Site Engineer to join our growing team in Mimaropa. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and optimising our telecommunications infrastructure. As a Telecom Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment and systems across our network sites. This role is essential to ensuring reliable service delivery and maintaining the highest standards of network performance for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission telecommunications equipment at network sites, including base stations, transmission systems, and associated infrastructure
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing on telecommunications equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Conduct technical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on telecommunications systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly
• Monitor site performance and collect data to identify potential problems and opportunities for optimisation
• Execute site surveys and assessments to determine equipment requirements and installation feasibility
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all installation, maintenance, and repair activities
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations whilst working on site
• Collaborate with network operations and engineering teams to support network expansion and upgrades
• Respond to emergency calls and provide on-call support when required
• Ensure all work meets industry standards and company quality guidelines

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience working as a site engineer in the telecommunications industry, preferably with 3+ years of hands-on experience
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, including mobile networks, transmission systems, and site infrastructure
• Proficiency in using telecommunications test and measurement equipment such as spectrum analysers, power metres, and network analysers
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to telecommunications site work
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to document work clearly and accurately
• Physical fitness and willingness to work at height and in challenging environmental conditions
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various site locations
• Familiarity with relevant telecommunications standards and best practices is highly desirable
• Certifications such as CCNA, Cisco certifications, or manufacturer-specific qualifications are preferred
