We are seeking a skilled Telecom Surveyor to support our expanding telecommunications projects in Greater Manchester.

Job Overview

The Telecom Surveyor will conduct site surveys to support the planning, design and installation of fibre-optic networks (FTTP/FTTH) and telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys for fibre-optic networks and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Assess underground and overhead infrastructure, including ducts, chambers, poles and cable routes.
• Identify suitable network routes, obstructions and installation requirements.
• Collect accurate measurements, photographs and GPS data.
• Prepare survey reports, route plans and technical documentation.
• Support Openreach PIA surveys and infrastructure assessments.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers and project managers to support project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and project deadlines.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in telecommunications surveying or fibre network infrastructure.
• Good understanding of FTTP/FTTH networks and telecom infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Openreach PIA requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and network plans.
• Experience with GPS equipment and digital survey tools is desirable.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel to project sites.
• Full UK driving licence.
