Telecommunications System Engineer

Job Purpose:

Security systems including Security Access Control (SAC), Fire Alarm System (FAS), CCTV system and Public

Address System (PAS) etc.. Responsible for the engineering, design, installation supervision, configuration,

commissioning, testing, integration, and acceptance of Security System. The position ensures that security

systems and associated equipment are implemented in accordance with approved engineering designs,

technical specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and update technical documentation related to security system.
• Prepare and review system design documents, technical specifications, equipment specifications,

method statements, inspection and test plans, and commissioning procedures.

• Prepare and review security system drawings, control schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment

layouts, and interface drawings using AutoCAD and relevant engineering tools.

• Review system requirements and technical specifications to ensure compliance of security system

designs with project requirements.

Supervise the installation of security equipment, control panels, PLCs, remote I/O, sensors, actuators,

communication equipment, and associated cabling and infrastructure.

• Monitor installation activities and verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications,

manufacturer requirements, and installation procedures.

• Support control system and equipment configuration and programming activities where applicable.
• Perform and/or supervise equipment commissioning, functional testing, loop checking, and system

verification.

• Participate in system integration and interface testing with other systems, including SCADA, BMS,

power supply, telecommunications, signaling, and other relevant systems.

• Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot technical problems during installation, commissioning, testing,

and operation.

• Review and verify test procedures, test results, inspection records, commissioning reports, and

acceptance documentation.

• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), integrated system testing,

and final system acceptance.

• Prepare and follow up technical punch lists and verify the completion of corrective actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines regarding

technical and interface requirements.

• Review and verify as-built drawings, equipment documentation, test records, and final handover

documentation.

• Provide technical support during system handover and initial operation.
• Ensure that security engineering activities comply with applicable standards, project procedures,

safety requirements, and quality requirements.

• Complete the preparation of as-built drawings and the maintenance work of the security system

during the warranty period, including the development of maintenance procedures, fault emergency

plans, operation manuals, and training manuals, as well as the preparation and handover of project

completion documents and related work.

• Complete other tasks assigned by the leadership.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering,

Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

• Practical experience in automation, industrial control, PLC, SCADA, or related systems.
• Experience in system installation supervision, commissioning, testing, integration, and acceptance is

preferred.

• Knowledge of Fire safety, PLCs, HMI, SCADA, control panels, sensors, actuators, industrial

communication networks, and control systems.

• Ability to read, prepare, and review electrical/control schematics, wiring diagrams, system

architecture drawings, and engineering documentation.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and relevant automation software is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and

subcontractors.

• Good technical communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
