Telehandler Operator

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Telehandler Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a telescopic handler—commonly known as a telehandler—to move, lift, and position materials efficiently and safely across various job sites. Your mechanical knowledge and experience with heavy equipment will be essential in ensuring smooth operations, supporting project timelines, and maintaining a safe work environment. Pay

• £21.00 per hour Monday - Friday

• Potential opportunities for overtime and weekend work

Duties

• Operate the telehandler safely and efficiently to transport materials around the construction site
• Load and unload materials from trucks using the telehandler’s lifting capabilities
• Conduct routine inspections of the equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
• Assist with the setup of equipment for specific tasks, including attaching necessary accessories or attachments
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate material deliveries and placements accurately
• Maintain detailed logs of daily equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations

Qualifications

• Must hold a CSCS card, NPORS or CPCS.
• Must have the Right To Work in the UK.
• Ability to read and interpret safety instructions, manuals, and technical diagrams
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety standards at all times

Pay: £21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 – 70.0 per week
