Position Details

• Job Title: Telemetry Technician
• Location: Flushing, NY 11355
• Contract: 9 Week
• Shift: Nights - 11:00 PM – 7:15 AM/37.5 Hours per week (Alternating weekends required)
• Pay Rate: $25–$30/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and continuous pulse oximetry for medical-surgical patients.
• Identify arrhythmias and communicate rhythm changes promptly to nurses and physicians.
• Initiate and discontinue telemetry monitoring as ordered.
• Place and remove telemetry boxes and troubleshoot monitoring equipment.
• Print rhythm strips, document cardiac activity, and maintain accurate records in Epic.
• Perform lead placement, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and maintain telemetry equipment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow hospital safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital patient care experience .
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) .
• Epic charting experience required.
