As a Teller I, you will assist customers with a variety of financial products and services while ensuring accurate and efficient transaction processing. This role requires strong attention to detail, operational knowledge, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do

• Process routine customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing
• Balance and reconcile cash daily to ensure accuracy of all transactions
• Verify customer identity and follow all fraud prevention and security procedures
• Identify proper endorsements, payees, and signature requirements
• Determine when holds are necessary and apply according to policy
• Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
• Greet customers in-person and at the drive-thru, creating a welcoming environment
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, assist with inquiries, and resolve account-related issues
• Respond promptly to customer needs and ensure a positive experience
• Exceed customer expectations by going the extra mile
• Collect and act on feedback to improve service quality
• Identify customer needs and refer opportunities to Market Manager, Personal Banker, or Head Teller
• Cross-sell and promote appropriate bank products and services
• Maintain strong product knowledge to provide accurate information and solutions
• Build and retain customer relationships through consistent, high-quality service
• Assist with account maintenance tasks such as ordering checks and debit cards
• Enter and maintain data in Retail logs and systems
• Support digital banking inquiries and technical assistance
• Assist with scanning, indexing, and uploading documents
• Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
• High level of professionalism and integrity
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to navigate multiple systems and platforms
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of banking experience
• Cash handling experience
• Customer service experience
