Temporary Caretaker

About The Role

Are you reliable, organised and comfortable carrying out general maintenance tasks?
We are looking for a Caretaker to help keep a school safe, clean and well maintained. You will work as part of the site team and help with the day-to-day operation of the premises.

Key Answerabilities

• Open and close the school when required.

• Check doors, windows, gates and building security.

• Operate alarms, heating and other building systems.

• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs.

• Receive deliveries and move furniture or equipment when required.

• Keep outdoor areas, paths, bins and school grounds clean and tidy.

• Prepare rooms for school and after-school activities.

• Report any building or equipment faults to management.

• Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.

  Skills & Experience required

• Previous caretaking, maintenance or similar experience is desirable.

• Basic knowledge/experience of electrical, plumbing and general maintenance work.

• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements.

• Good organisational and time-management skills.

• Aptitude to work alone and use initiative.

• Reliable, punctual and reliable.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

It may be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours, including weekends and sometimes more than contracted hours
